The success of blind bags and surprise eggs originates with the lucky dip. You used to go to any kind of stall, or fair, or market and as a child the most thrilling experience was getting a little taped paper bag that contained untold treasures and wonders.
The peak of the experience was opening the bag, and this same thrill never dulled no matter how many bags you opened. But you always had to get another one.
What you need is to treasure the bag and covet what you find inside. Over time, the bag becomes more and more valuable to you and you find that other people want to have a look inside.
Part of growing up is realising that cheap thrills aren't enough. You need to get something meaningful in your bag. All you need to do is decide what you want in there.
