Who doesn't love a good comma? Whether you are into Oxford commas or not, a lot of the time a comma is not optional. These days you can spell and grammar check anything, so there's no real excuse for poor spelling and grammar except for being out of f*cks to give.
Even I use Grammarly when I'm tired and couldn't be bothered 'red penning' something. For me, this is what makes a good writer. If you are using proper punctation, you are allowing the reader to hear the words flow correctly in their mind, you are being persuasive and engaging. You are selling an idea or connecting with a story. You are making a difference.
So jokes aside, somewhere in some important document, convincing someone to make a decision that impacts on the world, proper punctuation probably really does save lives.
