Be intentional

I have spoken about how important it is to start. Starting builds momentum, answers questions and tests the reality of your dreams. I've spoken about going slow, making any kind of progress you can manage on a regular basis that will amount to success. Now let's talk about being intentional.

Your intention is what you hope to achieve and all other goals will stem from your intention. If you intend to become a successful writer, for example, then there are endless things you can do towards achieving this intention. You can get a bit more specific, what kind of writer would you like to be? Would you like to publish a novel? Great. Then what? What do you need to publish a novel? An outline? Okay, so what actions do you need to get an outline sorted. Take those actions. Take one action, now.

What if you take that action and you get to the outline and you realise that this is just not what you actually wanted. Your intention to be writer was probably better suited to professional writing services. That is totally fine. That is more than fine. You took the actions and now you are heading in a different direction with the same intention.

Your intention could be linked to a value you have, like ongoing development. If it turns out being a writer is not what you had hoped then get back to that value, what other intention could you create that would mean you are still developing? Keep going. Look at the life you're living now. This is what it's all about. Congratulations, you made it.

Allow you dreams and goals to change, but live an intentional life.
